Minneapolis, MN July 9 / V-Newswire/ --In addition to donating a percentage of the proceeds from Fabulosity, The Midwest Divas will be holding a silent auction at their upcoming Fabulosity event to benefit MOCA and its mission. MOCA was founded in 1999 by a small group of ovarian cancer survivors to fund ovarian cancer research in Minnesota, raise awareness of the disease and to provide support to women with ovarian cancer and their families. MOCA currently has 800 ovarian cancer survivor members and the organization has awarded $2.5 million for ovarian cancer research to promote earlier detection, better treatment and a cure. “Teaming up with MOCA MN is a wonderful way for us to give back to a cause we felt passionate about. 15,000 women die every year from Ovarian Cancer, and sometimes spreading awareness for early detection can help save lives, the Midwest Divas are jumping in the fight and we are proud to be helping,” explains Marcella Marshall, Executive Director/Founder of Midwest Divas. Envisioned by Marshall, Fabulosity is an event that will give a new twist to the traditional meaning of Saturday “girl time” get-a-way. Fabulosity is striving to push the envelope by intertwining shopping, networking and pampering in a “day party” format, a concept relatively new to the Twin Cities. “Although Fabulosity is brand new, it will become a semi-annual event with the next being held in February 2011 and we are already filling up the vendor slots for that event now,” explains Marshall. Fabulosity will feature many wonderful offerings to women and will be hosted by the W Hotel (Foshay Tower), on Saturday August 7th, 2010 from noon-until 7 p.m. “It is still not too late for boutique style vendors to participate, we are seeking an eclectic atmosphere, where women will frolic, mingle, network, buy beautiful merchandise and be catered to. We are welcoming designers, and beauty sponsors and vendors who have a passion for fashion and beauty!
